Deepak is a 'techno-security' professional with a unique blend of knowledge, skills and experience in physical security risk and security design. 22 years of military and corporate hands-on physical security risk and design consultancy since 2010 help him comprehensively diagnose physical security risks and provide bespoke solutions.
His interests lie in articulating security strategy, designing appropriate, open and scalable security systems and transforming enterprise security. His experience includes risk assessments and greenfield security design consultancy projects of manufacturing, public and critical infrastructure projects, commercial spaces, hotels, educational institutes, residential complexes and SEZs.
Deepak is a keen writer and has contributed his articles on several platforms. Some of them have gained considerable appreciation in the industry — implementing physical protection systems, physical security risk assessment and optimising physical protection systems in operational facilities.
Following his retirement from the Indian Army in 2008, he transitioned to the private sector as a Technology Product Manager at Indus World School until 2010, then pivoted to become a Physical Security Consultant for Mahindra SSG for half a decade until 2015.
From MSSG, he became a Senior Security Design Consultant at Control Risks, one of the world's leading security companies, and remained in that role until 2018. He then served as Senior General Manager: Security Technology at Brookfield Properties until 2020, before deciding to establish SecureSec, a physical security consulting company in Noida, India, guided by risk, operational requirements, and business objectives.
Over the years, Col Deepak Kajla has helped organisations identify vulnerabilities, strengthen protection measures and make informed security decisions across critical infrastructure, manufacturing, commercial developments, hospitality projects, educational institutions, residential communities and special economic zones.
